ChBUY I-BEAMS in Ukraine

from the company SIP ATLAS

OSB I-beam is a structural shape with an H-shaped cross-section. I-beams have been used in construction for a long time, specifically, since the end of the 19th century, but only now have they become really popular. This is due to the more common use of SIPs, in frame house construction where the I-beam plays a special role.

In many respects, an I-beam wooden beam is superior to similar structures needed for the construction of a frame structure. Its benefits come from its inner properties:

  • I-beam significantly reduces construction time;
  • Reduces the cost of laying the foundation;
  • Reduces the house weight.

I-beams are mainly used to install house flooring and the truss system; the beam can also play the role of a wooden rack. A well-made wooden I-beam does not change shape or crack over time, which positively impacts the prefabricated structure’s strength. This feature is important when it’s necessary to build a house with SIPs.

Wooden I-beams are made using innovative technology that prevents potential defects. A kiln-dried wooden beam and OSB boards are applied in construction. Two materials are consolidated with a special glue, then metalware is used to hold them in place.

This process strictly follows the algorithm:

  • Wood processing;
  • OSB cutting;
  • Joining timber and OSB using a press machine;
  • Reinforcing the I-beam with metalware or pneumatic nails;
  • Applying finishes for surface protection.

The ready-made OSB I-beam is lightweight and does not make the structure heavier. Installation is performed quickly and is easy to manage.

Buy I-beams in Ukraine

I-beams for floors are effective when constructing frame houses with SIPs. The construction of such houses is the main focus of SIP ATLAS, a Kyiv-based company that deals with individual elements, design and installation of frame structures. The SIP ATLAS factory is a modern enterprise that produces environmentally friendly and energy-saving frame houses in Ukraine and throughout Europe. SIP ATLAS produces wooden I-beams, as well as prefab SIP house kits for frame construction. I-beams manufactured at our production facilities are highly durable, undeformable, and do not change their useful properties when subjected to external forces.

Our company offers a wide range of products that fully comply with European standards. Only environmentally friendly materials are applied. Thanks to energy-efficient technologies and high-quality raw materials, wooden I-beams produced by SIP ATLAS do not require additional surface treatment.

Having our own production is one of the main advantages of the company. Not only does it guarantee the optimal cost of building materials or house construction, but also makes it possible to manufacture beams following specific parameters. This is especially important for individual non-standard projects.

The cost of wooden I-beams

The price of I-beams varies depending on their size. There are certain standards that influence the cost such as width, thickness, beam height. According to the standards, the minimum height needs to be 200 mm, the maximum – 320 mm, the average cross-section of the timber should be 45×90. Other characteristics may be applied when working on an individual project, with the calculations carried out accordingly. In any case, the price of a wooden I-beam will be calculated per square meter. For further details, kindly address our specialists.
