The reliability of the house depends on the quality of the foundation, therefore it is necessary to take a responsible approach to its choice.
There is such a type of foundation in which all communications have already been carried out, and the total time for building a house is significantly reduced. This is because the foundation is a flat surface, ready for floor installation. The foundation is already insulated, which means that heating costs are reduced – it is warmer and more comfortable to be in the house.
Swedish plate for SIP-house
Such a base is called a Heated Swedish Plate (HSP). Compared to a typical foundation, a Heated Swedish Plate is more functional and energy efficient.
Another advantages of the Swedish house plate are:
- Installation on any soil;
- Reduced consumption of building materials, including concrete;
- Integration of engineering communications – water, electricity, sewerage.
The Heated Swedish foundation has its disadvantages:
- The need to level the site under the foundation of the house, if it is located on an uneven piece of land;
- Lower foundation height compared to other types;
- Inability to build a basement or difficulty in its constructing.
An integrated approach, rather than a step-by-step approach, is used to construct an integrated engineering structure with a warm floor and integrated communications.
If you plan to make a warm floor in a house from SIP panels, then the ideal and right choice in terms of construction and finances is a turnkey Swedish foundation plate. The uniqueness of the HSP technology is that along with the baseplate of the house, the pipes of the warm house are also poured.
Due to this, the «warm floor» can warm the entire first floor of the house, and additional heating devices are not required.
Construction of the foundation of the HSP
An insulated monolithic foundation plate is often installed on soft soils, in conditions of close groundwater, in areas with severe weather conditions. The design of the HSP is suitable for frame, panel, block and panel houses, but not more than 15 meters high.
The process of laying the foundation of the Swedish plate involves several steps:
- Preparing the Foundation. Builders mark the pit, install mortgages for water supply. Geotextiles are placed at the bottom of the pit, a pillow of sand and gravel is placed on top of it.
- Installation of communications. Installation of communications includes installation of mortgages for electricity and laying of sewers.
- Insulation lining.
- Reinforcement. Frames are mounted in the formwork.
- Installation of «warm floor». The pipes are laid, the collector is mounted, and the pipes are connected to the collector. The system is being pressurized.
- Concrete laying. The concrete mixture is poured into the formwork, it is levelled and, after it has hardened, rubbed using a building mixture.
After all the stages, the finished base is covered with a plastic wrap for 7 days – this way the concrete is protected from drying out. As soon as the concrete becomes durable, proceed to the next steps. HSP installation takes two weeks.
«SIP ATLAS» is engaged in the construction of turnkey houses in Kiev at competitive prices. Using a calculator, you can make approximate calculations. The final cost depends on the area of the house, on which building a foundation is required, and other factors.
When communicating with our consultant you will receive all necessary information about the cost of all work, which will include construction work, materials, drainage system, all engineering communications etc.
